EXCELLENT!

This piece is a PERFECT example of what one can get with hard work and a full understanding of Flash! The backgrounds are amazing and the characters' appearances made the piece that much more moody. The overall art style works well for the story. This show reminds me of Roger Corman's Poe series back in the day! The only room for improvement here is the sound. As per the creator, "... people will turn up the sound and get sucked into the story." The story itself should (and does!) suck the audience in. Amped up volume should be a choice made by the viewers, not a necessity. Making the audience kick up the sound in the middle is both annoying and distracting and can actually push them away since they'll believe they missed an integral part of the story. Keep the narrator on an audible level so your viewers just have to sit back and watch. Believe me, they'll be drawn in! Can't wait to see more!

Short And To The Point

Smart use of background elements and gradients makes this piece very slick! The timing is perfect! The creator knows how to present an entertaining short story. With a title like "HATE", one would think the purpose of this piece was to balatantly represent the horrors of a potentially dangerous human emotion, but I couldn't help but laugh my ass off at the end!

Interesting Look

The points for this piece go to the art style. It's interesting because it's unique and doesn't cop out by going with unimaginative stick figures. The writing needs to be entertaining. Things tend to just happen in this project without any interesting rhyme or reason. If the writing improves, this would become a series worth watching.

Hard, Fast And Funny!

Ben wastes no time in getting to the point! Whether practiced or innate, he's got a GREAT sense of comedic timing! He understands that toilet humor (no pun intended) works only if it's delivered quickly. He's got economy of movement down to a science! He knows what aspect to move and when to move it without going overboard and wasting valuable memory. It makes for a slick and well produced piece. Great job, Ben!

Nice Abstract Piece

It seems people all across the Web hate Flash trailers, but, yet, Quicktime.com gets a load of hits for their movie trailer page! Go figure! Jeff did a great job in creating this trailer because I'm now curious to see what the game will look like. I liked the abstract use of images and the use of black & white, along with the music, gave an air of foreboding. I hope the game is released soon.

It's All In The Timing!

An incredibly well timed piece! The creator could have easliy gone overboard and made the animation a bit too long, but his timing is dead on! When the punchline came, it was so unexpected, I laughed out loud! I also like the smart use of the photo as the background. This is a great example of a simple Flash project done right!

WOW!

There is absolutely no room for constructive criticism here! The animator covered all the bases! He has a firm grasp of mood, pacing, animation, Flash, sound ... you name it, he's got it covered! A most impressive piece! I look forward to seeing more from this artist!

Worth A Watch

The cartoon style is very John Kricfalusi inspired which is a good thing! The cartoon, on the whole, looks great. It falls short in pacing, humor and delivery. To improve the pacing, it could have been edited a bit tighter to lessen some of the dead space. I can appreciate the attempt at toilet humor, but this just played out as a story, not a gag. The "punchline" was delivered one scene before the last and should have ended there. The emergency room scene was pushing it by trying to wring the last bit of funny from the piece.

Wasted My Time

There is absolutely nothing here. If I wanted to sit and listen to house music, I'd throw on a CD. There is nothing to be found here. Looking for cartoons? Not here. Looking for entertainment? Not here. Looking for talent? Definitely not here!

Novice Project

This piece comes off as a beginner's first Flash project. This is defintiely not a good example of what Flash is capable of. The creator should practice more before offering his work for public consumption. He should also take a class in basic traditional animation. A simple walk cycle could have made Bob's movements so much better.
