Don't Give Up!!!

I've watched your work since your first post and I really like it! From the beginning, you've proven that you know what you're doing and are always willing to improve. Sound is still an issue (it's a little too low in this one), but any Flash animator from amateur to pro will tell you sound is always tricky.

I'm sorry to hear you're thinking of giving up Flash because you have some great potential. I agree it's VERY time consuming, but budget the time for it. School, work and the people in your life are important and you should always devote time to them first, but if you sat down and put aside a day or even just a couple of hours a week for your Flash projects, you'll find you have time for everything. Believe me, I'm ALWAYS busy with clients, family and personal projects, but I've budgeted my time and it works. Your projects may take a little longer to complete, but anything worth doing is worth making the time for. As far as always thinking about the movie - you've been bitten by the Flash bug, my friend, so you'll keep thinking about it whether you're working on it or not.

I hope to see more from you in the future. You've got talent, don't waste it.

It's All In The Timing

This piece took too long so, when it got to the punchline, it was a disappointment. If you had her eat her food, the dish, the fridge, the cat (that was funny with the small "meow!"), the door, the car and the ice cream truck, it would have made for better timing. Anna's eatng also seemed too mechanical. If she had taken huge chomps out of things it may have played funnier. Finally, the punchline is anticlimactic. She just throws up. That's it. It may have been funnier if the ice cream truck guy fell out of her mouth still whole and said something like, "I have to stop coming to this neighborhood!"

You've definitely got a good grasp of Flash and I'd like to see more new stuff from you!

i agree with you, after i finished it i did think that the table scene really drags on a little to long, i put that in mostly for my family, because you can't leave any food unattended in this house, because anna will pull the table cloth of the table and eat everything she makes fall, so that mainly why that part is in there, also i drive a VW beetle so that was her eating my car,(another family joke)

also i did think about having anna barf and the cats coming out(there are my real cats the first one is Selina and the second is Ruth) but i got lazy. if i do make a sequal(it won't be just her eating again, it will be more of the funny stuff she does) i will keep your comments in mind. thank you

If You Want To Make A Parody Piece ...

... come up with something original. This is obviously "Lizard Sphere X" except your file size is about 20x larger and tells the same story!
Work on your pacing. You spent too much time on the power up scene and the group reaction shots. The fight was also very ridged and lacked any real action.
When creating Flash cartoons, keep your file size in mind. This piece did not need to be 4meg.
Finally, instead of ripping off other people's projects, watch more DBZ and find something else to poke fun at - there's a lot there!

Saw This Because Of A Blatant Rip-Off!

I saw "DBZ Alpha Remake" by Atomic-Attack-Calvin and read in one of the reviews that he had ripped you off. Now that I've seen this piece, I can confirm that. This piece is funny, well timed, the art ROCKS and it has a small file size. This has everything the rip-off doesn't and it's 4meg!

In a way, I'm glad someone made a knock-off of this because a) it shows it was a good idea and b) I probably never would have seen this one.

FUNNY!

From the well timed setup to the punchline, this piece had a lot of funny bits! A well made toon!

Pretty Good!

You should be proud of this piece for being your first Flash attempt! You've done well! The piece is only 170k so check the web for a piece of action music that doesn't take up too much space and loop it. When the blonde guy throws the first punch, you don't need to have the button there to continue, just let it play through. You've done a good job! Keep it up!

Not Bad

If you ever find yourself using Flash again (traditional animation is definitely doable in Flash), reduce the file size of your music so the piece isn't so large. You should add a "replay" button at the end so it doesn't automatically loop. As it is now, the music sounds more and more hammered each time it loops over itself. Also, work on your timing because the last title card only appears for a second. The art is pretty cool and it's obvious you've got some talent in this arena. Hopefully, you'll produce more and post it here on NG!

Nice And Neat

Every player and prop had their moment and were all neatly tied together in this excellent piece of storytelling. It's a nice walk on the bizarre side. Brilliant!

It's Okay

The 3D ships look pretty cool, but the 2D Hunter needs some work. Also, the music didn't match the piece too well. Try finding something more appropriate to the action. Overall, not too shabby!

Pretty Smooth

Very good use of frame by frame! The roughly drawn style of the stick figures adds some personality to 'em. Good work!

In dark of night, a flash of light, a werewolf howls, a monster growls, the village sleeps, the creature creeps, the scalpel stabs in Doc Monster Labs!
