Pretty Darn Good!

This is a good example of what Flash animators can accomplish with a little patience and a lot of hard work! I wish more folk would follow your example. I liked how you had a nice mix of raster and vector based elements. My only crit would be to add a black bar to the bottom of the screen and put all of your subtitles there since they sometimes became hard to read over the background colors. Overall, excellent job! Can't wait for the continuation of the series!

Professional

This piece is simply excellent! It has a very professional feel about it. The art is awesome, the sound effects and music are spot on and the animation is solid. The only crit is that the pacing is much too slow which bogs down the action and the natural rhythm of the storytelling. Overall, this is some GREAT stuff!

Violent Eggs!

I dig your egg-style characters! It must make animating them a snap which means you should be able to produce more episodes in no time! You've got a good premise, pretty good animation and a unique style. I know a lot of people have suggested it already, but sound would be a big plus to these toons. Even if you didn't want to give them voices, sound effects would be great, especially for the fight scenes. To learn how to make preloaders, check out the tutorials at Flashkit.com. Whip us up some more eggs! Best o' luck!

H-I-L-A-R-I-O-U-S!!!

I laughed until I stopped!!! Brilliant!

Not A Bad Trailer

It's a good trailer for the fact it gives the viewer a taste of what to expect, but no indication of who is who. It makes one curious how all of these elements will come together (even though we already know there's nothing more to come at the present according to the Author's Comments). The guy in the hood doesn't necessarily have to be the bad guy and the guy in love doesn't have to be good. My one suggestion to improve this piece is to make each scene a bit shorter because it's killing the pacing of the trailer. Each scene would be more effective if they lasted as long as a heartbeat.

Other than that minor point, this is an excellent piece. It's very well drawn and does its job as a trailer. And, yes, it IS humanly possible to make a story out of this because it contains all of the elements you'll find in any great book of suspense and intrigue. Work on the story because it seems you have a good thing here! Best o' luck!

Shows Promise

There's potential here. The art is okay and the animation itself shows you have a good understanding of the basics. With a little more practice and hard work, you'll greatly improve. Some tips:
-
1. SOUND - be sure to keep your mouth at least one fist width away from the mic so you don't get that rough, scratchy sound while recording. Right now the sound is so muffled and distorted that I can't understand anything being said.
2. PREMISE - NEVER write what the movie's about in your Author's Comments! It's a sure sign of poor storytelling. If you feel the need to explain what people will be seeing, you should go back and rewrite your script. It's especially bad in this case since it's your first episode and should establish the story's direction on its own. A good test is to have someone read your script who is unfamiliar with your story. If they understand what's going on without asking you to clarify things, then you're on the right track. Now, when you move on to subsequent episodes, all you'll have to do is explain what happened in the previous chapter and let the current chapter speak for itself.

It's good to see this is only Episode One because, hopefully, you'll continue to animate this series so we can watch you improve over time. Keep at it! You've got potential to be a very impressive Flash animator! Best o' luck!!!

Lookin' Good!

Excellent art and animation! You obviously put a lot of time into the frame by frame because it looks slick! I think the "introduction method" of previewing a series is a bit too simple. The series would have been better served if you gave a preview of the actual interaction between characters via a common situation they would find themselves in. It would have given us a better idea of what to expect from the series rather than being told what to expect, ya know, "actions speak louder than words" and all that. Still, this looks like it could be pretty neat so ... BRING IT ON! Good luck!

Excellent Tutorial!

Thanks for the tip to add to my collection of cool things to do with Photoshop! Very cool!

Pretty Neat!

Not too shabby! The animation is smooth and slick, the sound effects are spot on and the art is cool. Like Shadow mentioned, you don't need the "Next Scene" buttons since it slows down the action. Just go right on ahead to the next scene and let the fists fly. Clutch5000 also had a couple of good tips like the yellow "Alert" text is hard to read and the fights play like we're watching a video game. A couple of cool angles other than profile might add a bit more excitement to the fighting.

All in all, this is a cool li'l Flash piece and I can't wait for you to start the series! Good job! Keep it coming!

Exceptional!

Very well thought out, plotted and executed! You have a great sense of economy in that we got A LOT for such a small file size. This is truly a work of art! I have nothing more to say except this was really excellent!!! Keep up the awesome work!
