Looney Tuney

This toon had the essence of the early Warner Brothers' cartoons. It's simple, to the point and had a touch of the bizarre. I also like the new style you've developed here! I'm looking forward to checking out episode 2! Keep up the good work!

Well Done!

Well paced and animated! The music fit the mood of the piece perfectly! Good job!

Slow, But Shows Effort

What really needs work in this piece is the pacing. The story would have been better served if it was told a bit quicker. Also, brown and dark green beans on a light brown background doesn't make the action pop. Try using more complimentary colors next time.

I hope that didn't sound harsh because the rest of it was well done. The frame by frame was excellent and the fact you kept the file down to 699k and still had sound is a testament to your Flash skill. Keep submitting, I see great things ahead!

thanx for the advice, really that episode was more like a piolet for future movies

Never Seen The Commercial & I Don't Smoke Weed...

... but I know funny and this toon is HILARIOUS!!! I think it's a testament to your good humour that I laughed even without having seen the source material! I laughed from beginning to end. The girl on the bike bit was EXCELLENT! Gut laugh from that one! I know if I had seen the commercial, I would've drawn the same conclusion about the parents! The "shocking" commercials always seem to be geared toward stupid people! Again, GREAT STUFF!!! Keep it up!!!

"They Are Meant To Be Original & Interesting"

And that it is! It's got a nice flow to it without being boring. It's very easy for abstract pieces to lose their audience, but the choice of "The Tra La La Song" and the quick transitions in the graphics did indeed make this piece "original & interesting". Good work!

Excellent Graphics!

The cartoon style is a VERY accomplished swipe of John Kricfalusi! You could get a job at Spumco since you do it so well! The commercial was good, but my only crit is that it was paced too slowly. Tighter editing will clear that up. Overall good job!

EXCELLENT!!!

I think this music video makes perfect sense in context with the song. The animation was smooth, interesting and hit all of its cues perfectly. This piece is an AWESOME effort! Well done!

Shows Effort

I gave this piece an Overall score of 7 because it was obvious you put a lot of time and effort into it. I applaud you for that. My two crits are:
1) VOICE ACTING: Everyone is talking very low. It almost sounds like whoever is voicing the characters is too embarrassed to speak up. It makes for an emotionless piece. Have your actor(s) speak up and really lend some character to the story.
2) CONTINUATION ARROWS: Though you may have inserted these to make sure people could follow the story at their own pace, it really kills the timing. If you're going to continue with subtitles and you want to make sure the viewer can read them, reveal them up to a second before the character speaks and lose them up to a second after he's done. This'll give your story the flow it's lacking right now.
Overall, this is a good effort and I look forward to seeing more! Good luck!!!

All voice acting was done by me. I never realized it was too low but the "emotionless" bit was meant for this movie since the story was more along the darker side of life. Thanks for the suggestions.

Not A Fan Of Sticks ...

... because usually there's no real effort behind them. There are so few stick movies on NG that can be counted as excellent pieces of work and this is definitely one of them!!! I have a very slow computer so, as per your suggestion, I lowered the quality and I didn't spot one glitch you mentioned in your Author's Comments. The flow was excellent and the sounds were spot on! I really liked the fact you told a solid story by using images instead of voice actors. I have a project that uses the same method and it's good to know it works! Excellent job all around! Now get crackin' on the next one so we can see the green guy get his!

You're Headed In The Right Direction!

This piece wasn't too shabby. Your storytelling had a nice even flow. Most people have a hard time with pacing, but you seem to have that down. The few frame-by-frames that are in this are okay. My suggestions would be to 1) write a more intriguing story, 2) check around the web for sound effects or engineer your own and 3) tighten up your drawings. You're off to a great start so keep practicing and keep the cartoons coming!
