Well Done

The title is very fitting because action is surely what we get. The music was spot on and the animation was brilliant! I also liked the crude character designs because they really made the piece gritty and down to earth. Now, I'm not sure if it's my computer or the toon, but at the tail end of the fight with the big robot, the picture just goes white and the action stops. Was that intentional? If so, it's a majorly disappointing ending and should be reworked. Overall, this is an excellent effort! Great job!

The Beat Is GREAT, But ...

... all I see is a looping turntable animation. I understand you may have made this quickly so people could hear the music, but it would have been best served if you had animated a toon for it. DJ Q-bert put a lot of effort into his music, you should have done the same with your animation.

Not Too Shabby

Art Asylum's Minimates are awesome for stop motion! I have the same set that I've been doing stop motion tests with. This isn't bad, it's just a shame that a more fluid animation would take up A LOT of file space. Keep 'em coming!

HILARIOUS!!!

Not quite the "classic" slapstick I was expecting which made it all the more funny! The very first slapstick moment had me falling out of my chair in laughter! Very well animated and well paced. The music was spot on! The drawings were crude, but it worked with the style of toon! Excellent job! Can't wait to see more!

Now THAT'S A Teaser!!!

So many people try to pass off a static, poorly tweened drawing as a trailer / teaser. This actually has scenes we might see in the show, good humour and raises curiosity to see more. Well done!
My only crit is to compress your sound since it's eating up a lot of file space. This piece shouldn't be anywhere near 3 meg. Good luck! Can't wait to see the actual show!

Not Too Shabby

I think this is a GREAT use of file space for all that's in this piece. To me, economy of file space is just as important in rating a Flash animator as the actual content. In that aspect, you rule!
Though a bit poorly paced, the story is interesting enough to warrant checking out Episode 2. Though it'll affect the overall file size, put more work into the action sequences. As they are now, they don't evoke the tension or excitement that fight scenes should deliver. If you have to voice your next installment, try harder at making your voice sound different for various characters and don't be afraid to go over the top, especially when characters are supposed to be shouting.
The music worked EXTREMELY well with the mood of the piece and the opening sequence was VERY cool. Bottom line - the file size is impressive as is the music and the opening sequence. This entry is good as it is, but will benefit greatly from a well paced script, more interesting action sequences and voice actors. Best of luck with the series! I look forward to seeing you improve!

Pretty Good

I'm not a fan of stick figure toons, but this was well done! The running cycles in the beginning were smooth. The semi-detailed backgrounds (the bar, the funky doorway) and guns weren't too shabby and the glow on the black stick figure caused by the gun blasts was excellent!
My only crit is that the sound was inconsistent. Sometimes we got sound effects and others, we didn't. You should keep the sound effects going throughout. Good job!

Heh, i'll try to add more next time. Thanks for the review!

Excellent!

This is an awesome presentation! The film effect worked perfectly! My favorite part is looking out the window while inside the airplane. The pictures were crisp and there were no gaff lines where you cut around images (i.e. the airplane). Very impressive!

Some Pointers

SPELLING - ALWAYS use a dictionary and spell check if your toons are going to rely on text to the tell the story. The incredible amount of errors detract from the flow and telling of the story because it makes it difficult to read.
SOUND - try and make the music a constant. Each time someone "speaks", it cuts out abruptly and kills the mood.
ANIMATION - this toon would have benefited from a couple of frame-by-frame animations since the characters were drawn in an oversimplified manner. It would have spiced things up a bit instead of simply motion tweening. Places where this method could have been used - the building and throwing of the fireballs.
ORIGINALITY - Lord Raiden is a Mortal Kombat character and looks like he was designed after Christopher Lambert in the movie. The voices when the fireballs are thrown are from Dragon Ball. The "li'l ninja" looks like a yellow Kirby. Design your own characters and your own sounds and you can truly say you created this entire piece.
This advice is meant to help, not harm. You want to make this into a series so it's important that you make it as true to your own imagination as possible. Good luck!

Well Done!

Short, to the point and HILARIOUS!!! Excellent job!
