EXCELLENT!!!

SIMPLY EXCELLENT!!!

SLICK!

You put a great deal into this for only about 320Kb - that's VERY impressive! Not to mention the slick cartoony style and the awesome animation! This is excellent! Great job!

The Song Is Good

I liked it and I applaud the fact that you didn't make the file TOO fat using the entire tune. It could've been a MUCH bigger file.
My only crit is how you represented some of the lines in the song. The word "collide" could have been much more interesting, as could "when you look at me" and there was something about "loose your mind" (I think that's how it went) that could've been handled better. Though the art was crude, this was a decent effort and worth a look. Good work!

Where Are The Improvements?

I remember voting on and reviewing this piece a short time ago. I didn't know it had been blammed. A lot of reviewers, including myself, thought the overall art was good, but that this lacked good pacing and a solid story. Since I saw it reposted I figured you might have made some improvements, but there aren't any. Why? The characters look great, but without proper pacing or a cohesive story, they won't catch on. Spork is a cool looking character, you should give it the time and attention it deserves.

Me Gusto

Perdoname que casi no puedo escribir en espanol, pero este proyecto es muy divertido. El sonido sonaba bien - fue muy claro. Me voy a ver sus otros proyectos porque eres un animador muy talentoso!

Beautiful As Always

The visuals in this series NEVER disappoint! The story is intriguing. The only minor flaw is the voice acting. It lacks life and character, but that's the ONLY spot this project falters. Everything else is tight making this ALWAYS worth watching. Excellent, excellent job!!!

Excellent Abstract

The frame-by-frame animation and abstract concepts work amazingly well! Great job!

Stick Figures With Effort!!!

There are so few animators that use stick figures to full advantage and you're one of them! It's obvious you've put time and effort into this piece ... not to mention talent!!! This is an EXCELLENT effort! You could have easily done this on the cheap, but your dedication shows! GREAT JOB! I especially dig your light effects and frame-by-frame explosions! I look forward to more episodes! Now I have to go check out Episode 1!!!

Pretty Good!

The opening shot took me right to the original "King Kong"! The scenery was EXCELLENT!!! You gave an awesome sense of depth with your use of grey tones. The silhouettes of the characters worked VERY well.
The sound needs work. I couldn't understand a word the characters were saying because they seemed to be muffled. Also, drop the background sound when characters are talking because the spoken word and sound f/x are competing.
Overall, you did a great job!

You Know What It Takes ...

... to make great Flash toons! It's obvious you took your time, had patience and are very talented! The character designs are slick, the writing is fine and you know how to set a mood. This really is excellent for a first real go at animation.
My crits are:
SLOW PACING - I won't beat this into the ground since it already shows up in many reviews.
FRAME RATE - Try animating at 24fps. It may make the file size a bit bigger, but the action comes out much smoother and animating is actually a bit easier. Believe me, I used to do the 12fps thing as well until I decided to change to actual film rate and I haven't turned back.
ANIMATION CYCLES - Watch your beginning walk cycle. In a natural walk cycle, the left arm is back while the right leg is forward and vice-versa. Right now, you have the left leg and left arm moving in the same direction at the same time. I know you're new to animation so I suggest you get a hold of "How To Draw Cartoon Animation" by Preston Blair. It's an excellent book and displays various cycles like walking, running and jumping from both profile and front shots.
You have my respect as a Flash artist because your dedication to the discipline is obvious. I only see great things for you in the Flash arena and I wish you every success! This is truly excellent work!

Stryda responds:

Thank you SOOO much for your kind words. It really feels special coming from an awesome animator like yourself.

I am definately going to take into account what you and alot of people have said about the pacing. I'll make the second and third more exciting.

I will seriously look into that book, to tell the truth I have really caught the animating bug. This being my first film and getting all these great reviews really wants me to work harder and be better...so i'll look that up to better my animation.

THANKS so much, you really made my day.
